Households in French Caribbean and Indian Ocean islands consolidate services into single subscriptions, reducing monthly costs.

Canal+ rolled out bundled television, streaming, and fiber internet packages across Reunion and the French Caribbean in early August 2026, offering households savings of up to 20 euros monthly by consolidating what were previously separate bills.
The operator launched the new commercial lineup simultaneously in Reunion and across Guadeloupe, Martinique, and French Guiana. The packages combine Canal+ premium content with fiber-optic connectivity, letting subscribers access television, streaming, and internet through a single subscription via the Canal+ application on compatible devices.
The pricing structure was redesigned with varied household profiles in mind. Some subscribers want to upgrade existing packages. Others are connecting to fiber for the first time. Still others consume programming through connected televisions and streaming applications without any traditional cable bundle. Canal+ explicitly cited economic pressure on households as a design factor.
Lea Borgne, General Director of Canal+ Reunion-Mayotte, publicly presented the shift. She emphasized simplifying the subscriber experience by consolidating content, fiber, and multi-screen access within a single ecosystem. Borgne also stressed the group's local positioning, noting that content offerings reflect regional culture and daily life, a dimension she characterized as distinctive to Canal+ in overseas territories. The operator now presents itself as a full telecommunications player in these markets, not solely a channel distributor.
By contrast, the satisfaction data Canal+ cited suggests the groundwork for that repositioning was already in place. CSA Research 2026 barometers conducted in Reunion found that more than nine in ten fiber subscribers rated Canal+ connectivity as technically reliable, and more than nine in ten platform subscribers judged programming and channels to be of high quality.
On August 3, 2026, Canal+ launched a campaign titled "An Offer From Elsewhere" across television, radio, outdoor advertising, and digital channels. The campaign targets potential subscribers across Reunion as the group consolidates its presence in both entertainment and telecommunications.
The new packages reflect a broader market shift in which the boundaries between telecommunications operators, content distributors, and streaming platforms continue to blur. Canal+ is directly embodying that convergence for residents of Reunion and the French Caribbean. Whether the bundled model draws in first-time fiber adopters at the pace the operator is counting on remains the open question heading into the final months of 2026.
